Low Static Kapton Tapes
Bertech Low Static Kapton® Tapes are made from 1 Mil thick Dupont Kapton® HN film backed by silicone adhesive with ESD properties that reduce the static charge during their applications. They are designed to provide very low static charge during unwind and removal of tapes during their application. Standard polyimide tapes can generate over 10,000 volts during normal use, which can damage the components on PCB board. They are conformable to the masking of uneven surfaces and remove cleanly without leaving any adhesive residue after exposure to the heat. The tapes can withstand temperatures of up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. The high strength backing provides superior resistance to puncture and tear. The low static tapes are also resistant to chemical attack. They are available in widths of up to 24 inches. They are packaged in 36 yard-long rolls on a 3 inch core.
Custom sizes are available upon request.
Applications:3D Printing, Aerospace Assembly, Auto industry, Electronic Assembly, Solar Panels, Solder Masking.
